AdHoc Studio came out of Telltale, and the cast list reflects it — prestige TV leads alongside the voice actors who defined that era of adventure games, plus a bench of creators.
Robert Robertson / Mecha Man
The protagonist. A former B-list hero whose mech suit was destroyed, now dispatching for the SDN.
Invisigal
The invisible ex-villain Robert is assigned to rehabilitate — the Z-Team's problem case and its most popular character.
Blonde Blazer
The SDN's polished face and Robert's boss — the corporate hero foil to the Z-Team's chaos.
Chase
Robert's sponsor and the SDN's veteran hand. His son Elijah Wright voices the younger Chase in flashbacks.
Shroud
The main antagonist — leader of the Red Ring, and a former superhero himself.
Phenomaman
The alien powerhouse who graciously protects Earth — cape-and-resume superheroics played straight.
Punch Up
Z-Team bruiser — a pint-sized ex-criminal with an outsized right hook.
Sonar
Z-Team member who transforms into a giant bat — highly intelligent, and the team's self-declared intellectual.
Waterboy
The office's awkward new hire — powers involve water, confidence involves none.
Malevola
Z-Team member with a prehensile tail — Sonar's sponsor, an atheist, and a true crime aficionado.
Prism
The pop-star hero whose clout becomes plot-relevant during the Episode 2 PR crisis.
Golem
The rock-bodied Z-Team heavy — laid-back muscle.
Coupe
Z-Team speedster with a blade — one of the cut-first ex-villains Robert has to manage.
Flambae
Fire-powered Z-Team hothead — literally and otherwise.
Royd
The mech-obsessed mechanic who keeps what is left of Mecha Man's suit running.
Galen
Supporting SDN-side character credited on the game.
Young Chase
Voices Chase in flashback scenes — Jeffrey Wright's real-life son.
Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad, BoJack Horseman) voices Robert Robertson, the former hero Mecha Man, in all eight episodes.
Laura Bailey voices Invisigal, the invisible ex-villain Robert is assigned to rehabilitate. Bailey is also Abby in The Last of Us Part II and a Critical Role main cast member.
Matthew Mercer — Critical Role's Dungeon Master and Overwatch's Cassidy — voices Shroud, the leader of the Red Ring.
Yes. Jacksepticeye voices Punch Up and MoistCr1TiKaL (Charles White Jr.) voices Sonar. Fellow creators Joel Haver (Waterboy) and Alanah Pearce (Malevola) also have roles, alongside rappers Yung Gravy (Golem) and Thot Squad's Blvck Bunnie (Prism).
The principal credited cast numbers seventeen, mixing prestige TV leads (Aaron Paul, Jeffrey Wright), veteran game voice actors (Laura Bailey, Erin Yvette, Travis Willingham, Matthew Mercer) and creators.
AdHoc Studio was founded by the people behind The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, and Oxenfree. Dispatch is their first game, and the performance-heavy dialogue is the point — it's why the PR crisis in Episode 2 can only be solved by Prism, and why the choices carry as far as they do.
